The Norwich Congregational Church and the Community The Norwich Congregational Church Sanctuary and Parish Hall play host to many activities beyond those sponsored by the church. Regular meetings of Brownies, AA & OA take place here. The singing groups Bel Canto and Revels rehearse here. Tango, Swing Dance and Tai Chi classes use the Parish Hall. Classicopia and Opera North have held performances in the Sanctuary. Private musical instrument and voice lessons fill our halls with joyful sounds. The Vermont Earth Institute has held discussion groups on topics including "Voluntary Simplicity", "Sustainable Living" and "Deep Ecology." The Norwich Congregational Church’s facilities are an important community resource available for group use at a reasonable cost. Please phone the church office at 802-649-1433 for rates and availability. Our Sanctuary is open 24 hours a day. We welcome anyone who might need a quiet place for reflection at any time.
Summer Children’s Play Group
The Norwich Congregational Church, UCC is offering a weekly chil- dren’s play group with parents' social time during the summer. Every Wednesday from 11:45 - 2:00, we will gather in the parish hall for play time, lunch, singing and other activities. This is a chance to socialize with other mothers and fathers and watch our children play. We have the use of the playground behind the church as well as play space inside. Bring a bag lunch and enjoy the summer with your neighbors. The first meeting will be on June 17; the last one will be August 26.
OR, we will also care for your child while you have a relaxing lunch else- where during the same hours. We ask that you arrange this at least 24 hours in advance by calling 802 649 1433 or e-mailing nccucc2@myfairpoint.net. There is no charge for either option. Please join us!
To NCC members: if you are interested in contributing to our hospitality by offer- ing child care, music, arts, or just your company, please contact Mary Brownlow or the church office at 649-1433.
